Kaila and Hilla met in 2016 in a college writing class and worked together at the Filmmakers Cooperative. There they discovered their shared appreciation for the avant-garde, campy, creepy, beautiful, and absurd works by artists whose styles and techniques would shape their aesthetic sensibilities.

Kaila and Hilla have collaborated on a variety of video projects including 2D and 3D stop-motion animations, music videos, narrative shorts, and films on 16mm.

They have also hosted animation technique workshops and screenings highlighting the works of artists in their creative community and filmmakers they admire.
